Dasaswamedh Ghat is one of the holy ghats, situated on the banks of river Ganges. Hindu devotees visit Ghats due to religious significance of ten sacrificed horses during Dasa-Ashwamedha yajna performed here. There are many Ghats in Varanasi, but Dasaswamedh Ghat is main Ghat in Varanasi. Two Hindu legends are associated with it: According to one, Lord Brahma created it to welcome Lord Shiva.
